Home for the holidays

It has been so great to be home! Claire and I had a direct flight from DFW straight into Sacramento, and then only about a 5 hour drive until we were back in good ol' Siskiyou County. Oh, how I've missed this town. After praying for snow a month prior to coming home, we drove into a winter wonderland our first visit back through Mt. Shasta.

Walking into my old room, I found Dove chocolate on my pillow with a sweet little note from my mom. She is such the little hostess! Her school had a little Christmas program on Thursday night, which was adorable. Her third grade students are so funny. You can tell she loves her job, those kids absolutely adore her.

Makyla is getting better and better each day with playing the piano and the guitar. At least one of us got my dad's musical side. (hehe)

Dad led the New Year's Eve program last night at the church which turned out really great.

Christmas day has been really relaxed, just hanging out with the fam and watching old home videos from way back when. Family is so great, I've missed mine so much!
